1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using faceroom's website at faceroom.app or any of our services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Services.
2. Description of Service
faceroom provides photo tools designed for moments where your image matters. Our Services include:
- Document and application photo preparation, such as checking a photo against official requirements, cropping and formatting it (for example, producing a 600x600 JPEG or a print layout), and providing guidance to help you prepare an existing photo.
- AI image generation and editing tools that create or transform images based on your input.
Our tools are designed to assist you in preparing the photo you provide. They are not intended to fabricate a new identity, alter who you are, or produce an official decision.
3. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must register for an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Credits, Subscriptions, and Billing
Some features require credits. Credits can be obtained through a recurring subscription or a one-time credit pack.
- Deduction. Credits are deducted when a job is created. If a job fails, the credits are automatically refunded to your account.
- Subscriptions. Subscription credits refresh each billing cycle. Unused subscription credits do not roll over. Yearly plans distribute credits monthly. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them from your account settings.
- One-time packs. Credits from one-time packs are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase and expire after that period.
- Payment. Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider (Stripe). Payment options may vary by region.
- Price changes. We reserve the right to change our prices. Any change will apply prospectively. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Non-payment. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment.
5. Refunds
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and, where applicable, are prorated based on the credits you have already used, with a small processing fee possibly applying. To request a refund, contact us at support@faceroom.app with your order details. This refund policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have under local law.
6. No Guarantee of Acceptance or Outcome
faceroom provides preparation tools and guidance only. We do not guarantee that any photo, document, or application prepared with our Services will be accepted or approved by any government agency, issuing authority, employer, or other third party. The final decision is always made by the relevant authority or recipient. We do not promise or guarantee any specific official outcome.
7. Your Content
"You" retain ownership of the photos and other content you upload or provide to us ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and otherwise use it solely as necessary to provide the Services you requested.
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to upload and process Your Content.
- Your Content does not belong to someone else without their authorization, and uploading it does not violate any law or these Terms.
- For document photo preparation, the photo you provide is of yourself or someone who has authorized you to prepare it on their behalf.
8. AI-Generated Output
When you use our AI generation tools, the resulting images or edits ("Output") may be produced in whole or in part by automated models. You are responsible for reviewing any Output before use. We make no warranty that any Output is unique, accurate, fit for a particular purpose, or free from third-party rights. Where Output is produced under a paid plan, you receive a commercial usage right to that Output as described in our pricing, subject to these Terms and to any limitations of the underlying models.
9. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person
- Upload or process a photo of another person in order to misrepresent your identity or deceive any authority or person
- Use generated or edited images to commit fraud, impersonation, or deception
- Create, upload, or distribute content that is illegal, sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise prohibited under Section 10
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services, or use them in a way that could damage or impair them
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract our models, systems, or data
10. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to create, upload, or distribute any content that is illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or that is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise inappropriate — including content involving minors ("Prohibited Content"). We reserve the right to remove Prohibited Content and to suspend or terminate any account responsible for it, without notice.
11. Intellectual Property
The Services, including their original content, features, functionality, branding, and software, are owned by faceroom and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding, logos, or proprietary technology except as expressly permitted.
12. Data Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, retain, and protect your information, including how we handle uploaded photos as sensitive data.
13. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will faceroom be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services. Because the Services are provided for informational and preparation purposes only, you use them at your own risk, including in connection with any official application or decision.
15. Account Termination
You may delete your account or stop using the Services at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, for any reason, including a violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately.
16. Modifications to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website or sending an email. Your continued use of the Services after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You and faceroom agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally first.
